Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Requirement
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI)has been developed by the state legislature to ensure student success at institutions of higher education. TSI assessments for Reading, Math, and Writing are state-mandated tests for placing students in appropriate courses. While not required for admission, submission of a TSI assessment test is required before you can enroll in any courses.
Follow these steps to complete your admissions application.
2. Pay the Application Fee
If you did not submit your application fee at the time of submitting your admissions application you can pay online. Transfer students are not eligible for fee waivers.

Students can submit unofficial transcripts for admission through summer 2023. Students will still need to submit their official transcripts once the institution(s) have made them available. The fastest method is electronically--sent directly from your school. If you are asked for an email address, use utaadmissions@uta.edu. However, we will accept transcripts by mail or in person. We must have your official transcript by the 12th class day of your first semester at UTA.

Students who wish to apply for financial aid must meet certain general eligibility criteria to apply for most need-based financial aid. To be eligible for scholarships students must come FAFSA or TASFA application.

Maverick Transfer Track is a customized tool for future UTA students to see what credits will be needed to complete a degree at UTA. This resource is to assist in the advisement and transparency of degree completion opportunities at UTA. You can view other UTA degree plans to see the best fit for any of your academic endeavors.

Transfer Guides
Every academic department provides a transfer guide for each degree program. The transfer guide provides the UTA Course Name, UTA Course Number, and the Texas Common Course Number, respectively. Please note, the transfer guide is not a degree plan. Reach out to your academic advisor for your official degree plan.
